I couple of notes to send you in the right direction.
1. The pose on the second character is fine but you main character could use a lot of work. Too symmetrical and generic.
2. The animation also needs overlap and the arcs need to be tracked.
3. One thing that might help you with the face is taking video reference of your head and compare it to your original reference.
