maybe have a bit more variations in their facial expressions.

Nice character designs! The shapes and colors work well, and the subtle ear animation on the bull character is a nice touch too.
Adding a few more mouth shapes, particularly "plosives" like "M", "B", and "P" sounds would really push the lipsync.
