I think you need to act this out yourself and film it. Really lay attention to how the different parts of your body move and when in comparison to other parts. Do the same with the lips when you do the lip syncing

Bad lip sync its basically only jaw movement

Nice job with lip sync animation. Not sure what his hands are doing at first. I would probably find a better angle of the camera or his body to show a little more.
