I can tell a lot of time went into the environment, and I think the actual animation of the characters suffered because of that. There isn't much expression on them

Interesting setting but storywise it's a little weird - why is guy in shop volunteering this info? Pose choices and lipsync could be stronger.

Cut in closer earlier - but the second camera angle really doesn't help anything for this scene. The butcher's hands are floating a fair amount too.
