Really nice concept.
Since the shot follows a puppet-show style, I feel the performer could occasionally give meaningful glances toward the audience. Especially while delivering a comedy line. Subtle, intentional looks, similar to how a live comedian connects with the crowd on stage.
That kind of engagement might strengthen the performance and make it feel more interactive.
