I love the staging but this lip sync needs additional tweaking . The phonetic appeal is missing on the accents .

Nice reserved acting choices!!
Perhaps the cut was not necessary? Camera angle from one cut to the other wasn't significantly different, so the cut seemed jarring. Maybe just move the camera.
