Wouldn't say much about the chosen models, but they are definitely too stiff and unexpressive. The last shot has good concept/composition in it, but the whole thing is lacking.

Reaction the Max rigs are very weird, but I do like the setting.

The setting for your animation its pretty good, I like how you did the expressions. However, the characters seem to be a little bit stiff, especially with the person walking in the back ground. Also, the wink at the very end seems a little stiff as well. However, the slightest bit of rotation could help remedy that. Overall, I think you did a great job!
