Ohhh, it could have been funny to its full potential! But we are not here to judge the idea, but the animation.
So... there is a little something missing to give real life to the movements, to make it more believable, and thus, more funny... maybe they shouldn't be standing in one point, their legs still to the ground? Or something?

idea is unique, but i don't think it match the VO. and the hand animation of the mom is too floaty.
