It has potential! It might be due to the rigs' restrictions, but for improvement, I'd consider pushing the emotions and the camera angles (as some of the later shots obscure the faces a bit) to increase the tension.
The movement in the character's arms also feels like they're drifting a bit, so being more precise in your poses to help them read and potentially recording some live-action reference videos before animating would really level up your work.
