Kasparov vs. Deep Blue
Inspired by the struggle kasparov vs. deep blue (1997) Where Deep blue made a computer error that got kasparov so frustrated as he lost the subsequent matches.

Hunh, I almost didn't catch that the disk tray was moving. I think a face on the monitor, albeit cliche', would've made this better. Nice render though!
Austin Hambrick
very interesting take i like it. everything is nice and fluid though what is it they are playing a block version of chess?

?????????????????????
Paula Decanini
Funny concept, but no real character animation.
Sajjad Afzal
Nice animation but I will not consider it fit character animation competition.

I would work on the lighting, very difficult to tell if the monitor/disk drive is speaking. But I like the camera movement.

Interesting idea having the viewer be the one receiving the advice, though there isn't much animation going on aside from the computer playing its turn and the camera moving.

Very unique interpretation of the audio, I like it a lot! But I think the camera movements were a bit all over the place, specially since they only began to flow like a person's POV after the computer loaded. Also, Instead of looking at the board twice, a longer take would've been more effective, because we'd be able to take a better look at the chess board. Additionally, I didn't enjoy the lipsyncing out of that CD slot (?) and instead, you could flickered the screen to demonstrate the action of talking. But still, very original spin!

had to watch it a couple times before I figured out that it was the computer speaking.

what was this????

Very confusing, only realized it was the box under the computer speaking at the end. Camera moves too much so we don't have time to understand what's happening. And the situation is not clear, don't understand why he would be upset or where they are and what are they playing.
But nice entry though, seems like you had an original idea, just need to develop it more and make sure it's understandable for the viwer.

um the idea is good but... donno.... too still for me....
if you would make the computer have like these green moving waves... you know what I mean.. that would be so cool!
