I think you need to vary the timing a bit. It fits the mood and render of the scene, but the characters come across as a bit floaty.

There are some issues with some of the speaker body parts not moving but the main issue I find is the story. I mean, the boy seems like if he had already done something bad because he made a decision while upset. So, there is no point for the father to give that advice. The boy already learned that lesson by himself.
