Nice style. The lip sync is really off in some parts.

Like the lighting style you've gone with, and the emotion of the father's movements are believable. Some additional animation on the child after hearing his father's advice would have helped him seem more emotive as well.

The only finished 2D this month. Looking good. I would like to see some reaction on the kid too though.

The animation itself is not bad at all, but the composition takes away from it, in my opinion. Most of the movement happens in the upper left and the eye is not draw there at all. Bring them closer together and adjusting the camera so it focuses better on them would be a big improvement, I think.
