very nice, smooth animation.
As far as acting, your second character isn't as strong as your gerbil(thing) is. Considering the type of character, its to be expected. Your piece really could improve if you focused more on the gerbil's reactions and expressions toward the hand, since he is a much stronger character. Think of Tom and Jerry animations, or Ren and Stimpy!
