It's clear that the focus was on the lip-sync animation, but body movement is often more important (and expressive) than the mouth

With lipsync, use lots of reference and move the whole body and head with the mouth. Exposing any drawing for too long is going to look stilted. Go further and bolder, drawing more keys and more poses and you'll go far! Rooting for you.
