A nice subtle approach to the "weirdness". However, your body mechanics need improving. The arms are twinning a lot, and the lower body never moves. The camera position could improve as well. You have too much dead space above the character/s.

The reveal in the end is kinda cool, but the animation lacks overall fundemental.
