you really need to keep both characters in motion. At least a blink (although the docs pose in the beggining isn't sth that is naturally held for long)

Cool concept and half-decent pose at the end.
Work more on poses and body shift / weight.

stuff snaps and moves out of place. Be sure to spline your animation before render, and smooth out the curves.
