Why is it that every entry that uses this rig has a really soft character and all the movements seem weak for the voice tone? Really I'm seeing the same issues in every entry that uses this rig o.o

It's getting there! I feel as though you need a couple more story-telling poses, and a few anticipation poses to really bring it to life!

Some of the poses look nice however a lot of your animation feels floaty and could use some slight snap in parts. Also, your eyebrows and eyes need a lot of work.
My advise to you would be to take video reference and analyse the face. Tracking parts of the face in your reference can help you a lot.
