Hey, nice use of the sound. It really does sound like chalk on a chalkboard doesn't it! I think your setup is a good one and has appeal. One thing I found distracting was there was a lot of movement in the hands in the first half. I like the pose at 'it's a sphere', good use of the chalkboard. The eyes look really floaty though, I would spend some time pinning those down a little more. I think the 2nd half is stronger, and the cut on his movement is very nice.

Very nice concept scene. I would probably show the alien earlier when he says " but to them"
