I feel like not animating both characters in a dialogue scene is just lazy. How often do you see a character on screen while a character offscreen is talking to them. Very rarely and this audio is certainly not the appropriate time to do it. If you want to animate than animate. If you don't want to or always want the easy way out than don't waste your time.

Could work, it is emoted with grace and finesse... but there is still a bit too much unfocused exaggeration for what it could fit...

The animation is pretty well done overall. Without a second character it leaves a little to be desired, but the scene itself doesn't suffer to much. To really finalize and improve this scene I personally think a little bit more time tightening up the lip sync and slowing some of the body movements down would have definitely made the scene solid.

Her head looks oddly uniform thorughout the whole thing. If it were to move more it would be an improvement.
