The cuts are a little jarring and it's a little unclear what's going on. I think you can keep the camera in the second position for the whole shot and the story would make a lot more sense. We don't even need to see another character. Keep going! DT ftw!

The camera doesn't completely focus on the character, the lip-sync is just his mouth repeatedly moving up and down, and overall there doesn't seem to be much of a motivation for the character talking.

Everything seems logical.. The table in the black background, the blue light on the character. The fact that he is talking to himself but he is pointing at the empty chair.. :p

It would be better to have the camera get closer to the character instead of moving past the table.
