Push those poses and expressions more! Move those characters! That guy's focusing on the computer? Let's have him type, move his mouse, move his eyes, nod, pretend to listen. The girl's kinda off? Shift her shoulders around, make her look at him, widen her eyes! Pushes like that will push your work far.
