I think stronger staging and composition would help make the story clearer and easier to follow. The timing also feels a bit slow, which makes the character’s movement come across as slow-motion. Your animation would benefit greatly from a solid blocking pass to get the body and facial poses established, allowing an easier transition into a polish pass.
